Feminine Riviera Parliament By-Laws

The following by-laws are created for the Women’s Parliament  (הפרלמנט הנשי)
In order to promote a common understanding among the members and future members of the Women’s Parliament, the following rules are established:

 Members are expected to read, follow and promote the Parliament Ha Nashi Rules of Order, attached hereto and made part of this document, during meetings.
 The Parliament Ha Nashi is continually and actively seeking to attract individuals that are of good character, honest, dependable, respectful that have strong ties to the community or desire to have them.
 The group meets twice a month on Wednesday nights from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Registration and Meet and Greet starts at 8:00 pm and the program starts precisely at 8:30 pm.
 In order to promote respectful discourse and a pleasant atmosphere, it is essential for prospective members to feel welcome and for members to treat each other with respect. Members’ ability to voice their opinions and thoughts is a fundamental tenet of the group, however, such opinions must be expressed respectfully and be consistent with the Rules of Order.
 The Parliament Ha Nashi is a member-driven, member-directed and member-funded organization. Each member and guest is expected to reasonably contribute to the operation of the group in the following ways:

• Arriving early to the meetings to help set up the room
• Volunteering to assist in organizational projects
• Refrain from disruptive cellular phone use during the meetings (mute/vibrate mode only)
• No eating during the program
• Minimize your entering and exiting of the room during the program
• Keep personal conversations to a minimum during the program
• Assist in the maintenance of the meeting facility to keep it neat and clean; volunteer to help clean up after the
meeting Any additional constructive suggestions are welcomed

 Annual membership fees are $250.00.
 Dues are collected at the first meeting of each calendar year.
Prospective members wishing to join the group must complete the following procedure:
 Attend and participate as a guest for at least 4 meetings ($20 guest dues per meeting) to observe and evaluate if
the group is a good fit for her.
 Should a prospective member wish to attend additional meetings the dues per meeting is $20
 Prospective members will be welcomed by the welcoming committee to introduce them to the procedures and rules
of conduct.
 No refund/ prorate for membership dues (exclude hardship situation)

• Membership card with discount privileges at a number of local businesses
• Subsidies for various events throughout the year such as holiday celebrations. Some ”Exclusive member-only” social activities
• Personal Name Tag
• Some exclusive “members-only meetings” throughout the year.
• Only members will have access to the group website.
